Swedish Massage:

As a soothing “wellness” massage for the mind and body, Swedish massage promotes stress release and full body relaxation.

Deep Tissue:

Deep tissue massage addresses target problem areas, aches and pains, spasms and muscle tightness by applying specialized techniques to reach the deeper layers of the muscle. This healing massage promotes increased muscle function and range of motion as well as pain relief.

Cupping:

Cupping is a safe, traditional treatment that helps resolve chronic muscle tightness and pain faster than massage therapy alone. The suction from the cups increases circulation to the area where the cups are placed. The additional blood flow to that area can help relieve muscle tension and promote cell repair.

Cupping gives your body a boost in releasing those toxins. Focused blood flow helps your body by flushing built-up toxins through the lymphatic system.

It also reduces anxiety when the cups glide across your skin, your parasympathetic nervous system engages. This promotes deep relaxation to move through your entire body.

Cupping can reduce stretch marks and scars. Increased blood flow enables your body to dispose of toxins, restores lymphatic circulation, and helps remove edema (excess fluid), which helps reduce the appearance of scarring. Studies have shown the positive effects of cupping on stretch marks and scars even in areas that are far from the area where the cups are applied.

Congestion caused by a cold, bronchitis, or even asthma can be treated with cupping. The suction from cups breaks up and expels congestion. It brings oxygen rich blood and lymph toward your lungs and your other respiratory muscles. Cups are usually placed on your back, but may be placed on your chest as well. Your therapist may leave the cups in place, or may gently glide them in an upward motion to facilitate the movement of the lymph fluid.

What to Expect:

With a desire for your well-being, you fill out a health form either at your first session, or click here, print, and have it completed when you arrive at your appointment.  We will discuss your massage needs before the session begins.

With your modesty in mind, we exit the room as you disrobe and get on the table; you will be under a sheet and blanket for the entire massage exposing only the area being massaged.

ionic footbath.jpg

Ionic Detox Footbath

The primary benefit of an ionic detox footbath is that it enhances the body’s own natural detoxification abilities. This allows the body to remove heavy metals and other toxic elements from the body more efficiently.

Thermography (DITI)

Medical DITI is a non-invasive, safe, diagnostic tool that pictures and analyzes changes in the skin’s surface temperature without the use of radiation. While X-rays, ultrasound, and mammography show us the structure of the body, they will miss such things as active inflammation and increased blood supply as found in many illnesses. DITI is a unique technology that takes a picture and creates a map of the infrared patterns of the body. It is different from other screening tools because it helps you to see how your body function.

29:11 Wellness Studio hosts Picture My Health who provides this service here every 3 months. Next Date for Thermography at our location here is April 25th-26th, 2024.

Infrared Sauna
infrared sauna
What is Infrared?

Infrared light (experienced as heat) is the invisible part of the sun’s spectrum with the ability to penetrate human tissue, giving a soothing, natural warmth. It is naturally occurring from the sun and is the basis for Sunlighten sauna therapy.

Sunlighten’s Solocarbon infrared technology is therapeutic because it is 95-99% efficient at heating the body directly rather than simply heating the air. It works to raise the core body temperature to produce a deep, detoxifying sweat at the cellular level where the majority of toxins reside.  (Solocarbon® – The most effective far infrared technology Solocarbon® is Sunlighten’s proprietary far infrared technology that is 95% effective and the only heater on the market clinically shown to raise core temperature, lower blood pressure and aid in weight loss.)

How Safe is Infrared?

Infrared heat is completely safe and healthy for all living things. You can be exposed to infrared light for hours without the risk of burning. Infrared is a naturally occurring output of the sun, but does not contain the harmful UV rays associated with unprotected sunlight. In fact, infrared heat is so safe, it is used in hospitals to warm newborn infants.

Infrared Saunas vs. Traditional

Sunlighten saunas use infrared heat instead of hot rocks or steam used in traditional saunas. Traditional saunas heat the air at extremely high temperatures which can make the experience unbearably hot and difficult to breathe. Because infrared heats the body directly instead of simply heating the air, infrared saunas are seven times more effective for detoxification. In a Sunlighten sauna, you will experience the deepest, most detoxifying sweat of your life.

Sauna Benefits

Detoxification

A Sunlighten sauna generates a sweat 7x more detoxifying than a traditional sauna. Sweating is the body’s safe and natural way to heal & stay healthy. Sunlighten sauna detox occurs by heating the body directly increasing core temperature, resulting in a deep, detoxifying sweat at the cellular level, where toxins reside.

Weight Loss

Studies have shown an infrared sauna session can burn up to 600 calories. Burn calories while you relax! As the body works to cool itself, there is a substantial increase in heart rate, cardiac output and metabolic rate, causing the body to burn more calories. In fact, a 2009 study showed Sunlighten far infrared therapy to lower weight and waist circumference in just a three-month period.

Lower Blood Pressure

Infrared saunas induce a deep sweat to make the heart pump faster, which in turn increases blood flow, lowers blood pressure and helps circulation. Only Sunlighten saunas are backed by clinical research that shows a reduction in systolic and diastolic blood pressure. Both are key factors in maintaining a healthy heart.

Relieve Pain

Infrared heat penetrates tissue, joints, and muscles to relieve anything from minor aches and pains to chronic pain conditions such as fibromyalgia, and speeds up recovery time. A 2013 study conducted at the Auburn University at Montgomery showed that Sunlighten 3-in-1 treatments can increase flexibility up to 3x.

Improve Circulation

Sauna treatments are like giving your body a passive cardiovascular workout. Heating the muscles with infrared rays produces an increase in blood flow similar to that seen during exercise. Regular infrared sauna use can significantly stimulate blood flow up to twice the normal rate.

What is it?

The ionic detox is a therapy that uses negative ions to cleanse the body of toxins. The ions attach themselves to the toxins and then are flushed out through the feet, which are immersed in a saltwater bath. Most people can benefit from this therapy, as it is gentle and safe.

Regular use can aid in:
• Cellular Cleansing
• Anti-Aging
• Joint/Pain Relief
• Weight Loss
• Activate the body’s natural elimination system, including lymph node
• Boosted Immune System
• Clearer Skin Complexion
• Increased Circulation
• Reduced Stress & Fatigue
• Reduced Swelling/Inflammation
• Improved Joint Stiffness
• and More!

Boosts immune system

The Ionic Detox footbath uses charged particles called ions to create an ionic field that cleanses and purifies the body. The system ionizes water molecules, separating water (H2O) into H+ and OH- ions.

Weight Loss

The Ionic Detox footbath assists in the process of weight loss by burning calories in your body. Regulates the blood sugar levels too. Foot detox gets considered healthy for the heart as well.

Joint & Pain Relief

The Ionic Detox footbath machine works by connecting with positive and negative ions in order to neutralize them on contact.  The pain relief comes as a result because the toxins causing inflammation are being flushed out of your body.

Reduces Stress & Fatigue

Use of the ionic detox foot bath lowers and continuously removes the heavy metals in the body which only leads to improved health. Boosts the mood and relieves stress.  A body that is optimized to function at full capacity will lessen worry and anxiety.  This, in turn, improves the outlook and mood of a person which in turn helps you to cope with stress.

Liza Anderson

Massage Therapist/Owner of 29:11 Massage Studio

Call or text: 218-929-9427

The first 25 years of Liza's career were spent in the marketing and graphics field, which she still dabbles in.  However, in 2014 she wanted to try something new and get out from behind the desk.  Liza knew she wanted to do something that helped people feel good, so she went back to school to become an CMT at the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis, MN.

As an Aveda CMT, she offers excellent customized client care, specializing in Swedish massage, Deep Tissue massage, Trigger Point Therapy and Cupping, which was added in 2020.  Liza is continually learning new techniques to better the health of her clients.

In February of 2023, Tara Werth started to work for Liza, helping with laundry (a service that is offered to the other therapists at the studio).  However, Tara had an itch to continually learn holistic care.  At this time the ionic detox footbath was added.

Massage Therapist/Owner of Synergy Within Wellness Barefoot Massage

Call or text: 218-290-5508

In January 2009, after I graduated from the Denver School of Massage Therapy, I moved back to Minnesota to start my career at Life Time Fitness - Woodbury. I absolutely loved the environment there and gained invaluable experience learning from fellow massage therapists that had been in the business for many years. After a couple years there it was time for me to follow my heart into the world of entrepreneurship. I started by doing chair massage at 3M and Cargill a couple days a week over the lunch hours as well as bringing my table to client's homes. June 2013 I moved back to northern Minnesota and did massage in Hibbing at the Howard Court Salon. April 2016 I moved to Grand Rapids, Minnesota and continue to do massage in my current location.

Currently I mainly do Ashiatsu (barefoot) massage. Other services do include: Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Point Massage, Sports Massage, and Cupping.
